1. Prioritize your needs
Focus on hotels that will best meet your needs. Amenities, location, and price all come into play in making a determination. However, do you really care about a spa that you wont use? Or a pool when it's the beach you are after? Or do you want the coziness of a small bed and breakfast? So, it is very important to look at the photos of the hotels ONLINE, ask around for recommendation, check user review at a few website for reviews (like www.hotels.com) or you can call the hotel and ask them to explain what they have got to offer and who or what age their regular customers are. This would be helpful for you to select a hotel that you want.
2. Knowing what facilities are included in the price
In some countries, the bathroom facilities will determine the price of the rooms. Example are France, a bathroom with tub will cost more than a bathroom with only shower. If you want a double bed, you should request one because twin bed is very common for all the hotels room. If you would prefer an in room safe or an air conditioning room, ask the hotel whether there is any surcharge. 4. Expectation for budget hotel
For budget hotel accommodation, do expect some facilities are missing. This would include swimming pool, spa, Or even internet service is not available at these budget hotels. So, do take note that the price you pay would come in line with the facilities that is available in the hotels. Most likely budget hotel would be a hotel where will offer you only a comfortable sleep in the night time.
