I felt very disappointed on the behaviour of the driver & assistant of Alisan travel when returning from Had Yai on 3/9/2011by bus registration no AGH 8837. We were 2 family travelling with childrens. While travelling they stopped the bus at Thailand customs. I did not aware, my children was tearing a packet of kuaci, and some of the kuaci dropped on the floor. When we reach the Thailand immigration,we all get down for immigration and custom clearance. The assistant driver noted and ask us to clean-up the dropped kuaci and we did. He warned my children for doing that. After a while the driver came and warned again to my children and if they still continue to throw,he will use vulgar words in a very fierce way.Is this the way to treat a childtren. My children was so scared when he talk that way.Infact they already cleaned up the place.
Later they stopped the bus at 55 CAFE @ Jitra,Kedah where there were no muslim food available at that place. The food was prepared for Driver and assistant in very special manner by the restaurant owner with no HALAL sign. When I asked the the driver what was the problem, he just ignored me and walked to the dining table without saying a word. My children was so hungry but we just took drinks despite the driver and assistant were enjoying their food. I understand in Thailand, we may not able to get muslim food, but in Malaysia ,which is a muslim country where we are talking proud about 1 MALAYSIA ,how can the driver stopped at a Chinese restaurant (Non-Halal),which he doesn’t think of muslim passenger travelling in their bus. What is happening? We enquired from the owner for the halal sign and he replied they have applied but no reply from the ministry concern. I want the driver and the assitant to apologise to me for their behaviour and not repeat the same again to the other passenger who are travelling in ALISAN TRAVELS.If there were no action taken I will lodge this matter to the Ministry of Transport ,JPJ and CAP with relevant proof.Reply.

Extremely furious at your service. I bought a 3 Oct 2011 830am ticket KL-Penang from Pudu. The bus departed at 940am! The bus reached Pudu on time but made all the passengers waited for 70minutes without any announcement and apology.
I have been asking the person in charge at 9am for the actual departure time. The uncle replied, "10 minutes. 10 minutes." The 10 minutes wait prolong to 40minutes. How can you expect each passenger to have the luxury of time for the wait? If your bus will depart at 930am, please do not sell 830am ticket. Please do not mislead the public. This kind of service is simply unacceptable.

This bus company's service is unacceptable. I've booked a ticket for my gf frm KL- SG. It was a 9am bus ticket. The bus only arrived at 10.45am!! and the worst part is, my gf had to wait outside the road as the bus did not stop inside pudu sentral. The attitude of the staff is rude.

When the bus reaches Johor(larkin), the bus refuses to enter singapore and left my gf there at the bus station. This is unacceptable. You sold the ticket from KL to Sg but how can you end ur journey at Johor???

I tried to search for the HQ number to call and complain but it was already terminated. I strongly urge all bus users NOT to take this bus ever again.

(I am not sure what is the transport ministry doing by letting buses like this going on the road)

Beware of the price gouging practices of Alisan Bus Company in Hat Yai, Thailand.

I first took the Alisan bus from KL to Butterworth and that trip was OK. Coming back from Hat Yai, Thailand was when their bad business practices began.

Across from the Hat Yai train station is an office with a big Alisan Bus sign the outside. They said they were the ticket office for Alisan. They quoted a price of 850 (85RM) baht for a one way ticket to KL. I asked why it was so expensive since going from KL to Butterworth was only 35RM (350 baht). They said it was because it was "so much" farther. I asked them if the bus would pick us up right there and they said yes. When it became close to departure time they brought by cars to take us to the bus station since they then said it was too congested in front of their office to drive the bus in. They then dropped us off at the bigger (real) Alisan Office front. I presented them my 850 baht receipt and they printed me out a ticket with a 400 baht price. Yes, 400 baht is the real price. When I showed them the difference in price they said they were not responsible for their "agents" prices and had no idea what prices they were charging, even though they collected the 850 baht initial receipt without blinking an eye.

The "agents" lied to me and then so did the Alisan Office in Hat Yai as they know full well about their "agents" and their price gouging practices. The Alisan manager would take no responsibility for what "agents" with a large Alisan sign above the "agent" office would charge or do. No apologies, and if anything, the Alisan employees in the office thought it was a big joke.

Needless to say, I will NEVER take an Alisan bus again and would never recommend this company to others!

On 8 Feb 2019, I and my family took Alisan Golden Coach Express (BND 8396) 9 am (Hatyai time) from Hatyai to TBS (Terminal Bersepadu Selatan).

When we cleared from Hatyai custom, I with my elder sister went to the toilet and when we came out from the toilet, we saw our bus is going to leave the bus waiting area. We run and keep follow the bus but the driver never stops the bus, he left Hatyai’s custom without confirming all passengers has on board. As my younger sister who on the bus claimed that she has told the bus driver that we still yet on board but the bus driver ignored my sis and shouted: “already stay so many days at Hatyai, still shop not enough?”

We felt scared as our bag, passport and luggage are not with us. But what we only can rush and run to Malaysia custom hope the bus will wait for us. Luckily my mother and younger sister are waiting for us at Malaysia custom.

The driver never apologizes to us. His bad attitude makes us feel disappointed.

Besides, the bus air-con also got problem and the driver stop the bus at Kedah. All the passenger was come out and waiting for them to service the bus. This was a long journey bus; can this company confirm all their bus is under good condition before departure?

Please take serious notice in this issue especially towards the driver attitude. If that day I’m not Malaysian and without a passport at Malaysia custom, I’m considered as a no identification person.

This was a very bad experience and it was worsening to me and my family!
